Today, three groups came together in ENG3U – Grade 11 English to present three scenes from Macbeth – Act 5. I have to say that I was pretty impressed with students’ commitment to the roles and the presentations.
The point of the assignment was to collaborate with group members to communicate an understanding of the scene’s lines, emotions, characters, themes, and actions. Here are videos of the three groups. Props to them for working through some minor hiccups:
Group 1: Macbeth – Scene 5.1
Group 2: Macbeth – Scene 5.3
Group 3: Macbeth – Scene 5.7
Thanks to this group of students for their creativity, their presentation skills, and their ability to work together to make Shakespeare entertaining (as it should be!) – you people rock!
