I’m not super-excited about winter coming, because it seems like it’s only been a few months since snow has been on the ground. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Check out the weather forecast for Greenstone this week.
Anyway, here’s what’s going on this week in class:
ENG3U is just about to finish Frankenstein. This means students need to get caught up in reading. There will be another quiz very soon, plus some other assignments. Students should be done their FrankenScience assignments!
BTA3O students will continue exploring Microsoft Excel and contributing to the awesome GCHS Website. Depending on how things go, we might make a quick introductory dabble into some graphic-editing programs, too.
ENG2D students are continuing past the halfway point of To Kill a Mockingbird. We’re going to try to blend some computer lab work this week, but it’s important that students stay caught up with the reading.
Don’t forget to check out the lessons, assignments, and resources for classes! Enjoy the week and stay warm!
I like the Game of Thrones reference! Personally I can’t wait until we finish up the novel and move on to short stories… it is actually one of the main aspects of English that I love. Did Ms. Lindsay tell you the story about my story from last year? She had to call my parents because of how sadistic it seemed!! Also, scripting in BTA3O is going to be great! I feel the next while is going to be my favourite part of the semester.
Awesome. I feel like we need to move on from the novel, too. We will persevere this week to put it behind us and then move on to short stories. Do you like reading them as much as writing them? Funny story about last year – I didn’t know that!
