Welcome to WilsonTeacher.ca! Educators constantly have to adapt to new expectations, pedagogies, and curriculum delivery models while focusing on students’ academic, well-being, and social-emotional needs.

I appreciate the educators and visitors who utilize the site for resources and ideas, and I value the collaborative spirit that strengthens our community during challenging times. Originally intended for students and parents, the site has evolved to include a reflective blog about my journey in school leadership.

Final Day of Semester One

Today is the final day of regular classes for semester one. It’s been a great semester getting to know all of the new GCHS Grade 9 students in Visual Arts. It has also been great learning about the culture of indigenous people in Canada and celebrating the awesomeness of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples in Canada. Hey, I learned to bead this semester and that’s really cool.

There are no exams for my courses this semester but it is important that students check with me to ensure all assignments are submitted In NAC2O – Grade 10 Native Studies, there is a culminating assignment worth 30%. Students should have this done today as they were given over a week of in-class time to complete it.

Best wishes to my students as they head off to semester two! Only five months until summer! 🙂 🙂
