Today, the ENG2D class had the privilege of receiving and reading letters from Mr. McFarlane’s Grade 8-9 class in Whale Cove, Nunavut. Each of our classes will be corresponding this semester to improve writing and make cultural connections. It was definitely cool to watch the expressions on student’s faces as they read their first letters. We are pumped to start replying.

Hey Everyone!
It’s already the second week of October. Fall is in the air! Here’s what’s happening in class this week:
ENG3U: Students will continue exploring Frankenstein this week – so make sure you keep up-to-date with the reading. By the week’s end, you should be up to Chapter 16.
BTA3O: This week, students will begin developing the GCHS website. We will also be playing with a Nipissing University Stock Market game.
ENG2D: We will continue with To Kill a Mockingbird this week, working our way towards the middle of the novel. Students will learn novel elements this week.
Here’s hoping everyone enjoys this week. Don’t forget that Friday is a P.D. Day and this weekend is Thanksgiving – so next week is short, too!
