• Re-read and edit your posting carefully. Check the spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. Remember that typing in all capitals is yelling in an online environment.
• Make sure your postings are a valid contribution to the discussion and are not just “Me too” postings.
• If someone does violate netiquette and posts an offensive thread, do not post a follow-up to the offending thread. The moderator of the discussion will handle this situation.

Technology creates just as many problems as it tries to solve. What are your thoughts?

Props to the groups in my BTA3O class who started tearing into the guts of a computer. What better way to understand how they work than getting your hands dirty?

Students, do you understand Learning Goals and Success Criteria? These make direct connects between what we are doing and the curriculum – the big book of things you’re marked on in class.

Basically, the thought is that if you know the point of what we’re doing, you’ll be more successful. That, combined with descriptive feedback, (where I tell you what’s great and what needs work) will result in you being a super student.
