Welcome to 2014! #eng3u #eng2d #bta3o

The new year is here! We only have 2.5 weeks left of this semester and then it’s exam time. In that short amount of time, here’s what we will accomplish:

ENG3U students will complete their Canterbury Tales Independent Study Unit work. You can see the expectations for this assignment below. In addition, a short Macbeth unit test will be completed this week.

BTA3O students will work on their final project. Note that there is no exam for this class and this project is worth 30% of the final mark! You can see the project here.

ENG2D students will review Romeo & Juliet before completing a unit test this week. Then, students will begin wrapping up the course before completing an in-class essay.

Remember, if you need help with assignments, you can always e-mail me! Have a great week!

ISU Time – #ENG3U

Attention ENG3U students!

Today, your Independent Study Unit (ISU) was outlined and posted. Your ISU focuses on Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales and involves students choosing a tale for study. All students must each choose a different tale. Selections can be made via email swilson@sgdsb.on.ca or Twitter and I will confirm your choice, (or deny it if someone’s already picked it).

Students can view the ISU Outline right here.

‘Tis the week before Christmas… #ENG2D #BTA30 #ENG3U

There are but a few days left before the Christmas Break. I’d like to wish everyone a happy holiday and all the best wishes for 2014.

ENG3U students have finished “Macbeth” and will now transition to the ISU, which is the last component of the course.

BTA30  students will also be starting their final project immediately after the break.

ENG2D students will finish “Romeo& Juliet” after the break and then wrap up the course.

Again, enjoy the holiday season!
